- The look of Bleak Fandango skin references to famous Mexican holiday Day of the Dead, while skin's title references to Grim Fandango adventure game which shares same aesthetic.
- Bicicleta de Carne skin references another Gearbox Software game series, Borderlands, specifically psychos (as they appear in Borderlands 2) – a melee type of enemies with melee attacks and mascots of series.
- Skin's title translates from Spanish as "Meat Bicycle", which is a references to Krieg – a playable Vault Hunter of the Psycho class in Borderlands 2, which was released video short story "A Meat Bicycle Built for Two".
